The head of US-based space company Maxar Technologies said this week that he expects to complete the divestiture of Canadian space robotics unit MDA in the spring or early summer.
"We are well under way in our efforts to garner the required regulatory approvals, with only the CIFIUS [Committee on Foreign Investment in the US] process here in the US remaining", said Daniel Jablonsky, Maxar's president and CEO.
Maxar announced in December that it has agreed to sell MDA to a group of investors for CAD1 billion (USD745.8 million) and will use the proceeds to pay down debt and invest in its remaining business.
