Gene Colabatistto, president of CAE’s Defence & Security Group since June 2012, plans to retire at year’s end, the Canada-based company announced on 30 September.

“Over the last seven years, Gene Colabatistto contributed greatly to the transformation of our Defence & Security business into the leading training systems integrator it is today,” said Marc Parent, CAE’s president and CEO.

A search for Colabatistto’s successor is under way.

The Defence & Security business accounts for about half of CAE’s revenue. CAE reported revenue of USD825.6 million in the first quarter of fiscal year 2020.
