Airbus Helicopters has opened a new regional ‘completion and delivery centre’ (CDC) in Malaysia, the company said on 6 August.

The CDC, which is located at existing facilities in Subang near the capital Kuala Lumpur, will enable Airbus Helicopters to complete assembly and deliver rotary-wing aircraft to regional customers in Southeast Asia.

Airbus Helicopters said the CDC can accommodate up to four medium-sized helicopters at any one time and is capable of assembling and delivering up to 20 helicopters per year from across all its rotorcraft models.

It added that the centre builds on the capabilities offered at its Subang facilities, which already encompass maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and full-flight simulator training.
