The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) is looking to take delivery of two Embraer Phenom 100EV executive jets later this year, the service told Jane's .
The contract for the aircraft and initial logistics support worth USD9.29 million was placed by the Brazilian Aeronautical Commission in Washington on behalf of the Aeronautical Logistics Center to Embraer and Embraer Executive Aircraft. It was published in the country's official gazette on 21 December 2018.
The U-100 Phenom, as the Phenom 100EV aircraft is designated by the FAB, will carry out logistics transport missions, the service said. They will replace the U-35A Learjet aircraft fielded by 6th Aerial Transport Squadron (6º ETA) from Wing 11 in Brasília.
