The crash occurred at around 1400 h during a training flight, killing a female soldier and injuring the other crew member, who is receiving medical treatment, the army said, adding that both were fully trained pilots.

The Bundeswehr uses the EC135 to train helicopter pilots under visual flight rules and to qualify them for instrument flying and low-level night flying with sensors within 12 months.
