Turkish company Roketsan has completed the conceptual development and verification phase of its Cida missile project.

Designed for use in urban warfare, the shoulder-launched missile was displayed at the 14th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF), held in Istanbul between 30 April and 3 May.

Using semi-active laser guidance, Cida is intended to be a smart system that can be used at very short range, especially by troops who are facing ambush and improvised explosive devices in narrow streets, while avoiding collateral damage.

The 70 mm missile is 1 m long, weighs 7.5 kg, and has a range of 50–750 m.
