General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) has announced that it is seeking industrial collaboration partners in Japan. This move will help GA-ASI to develop technologies tailored towards the domestic market, the company said.

GA-ASI is seeking to establish relationships with organisations that can provide technology and support for an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) acquisition in country, part of what the company considers to be a commitment to provide the best unmanned technology to the customer.

Specifically, the firm is looking for partners that can help with long-term data storage and machine learning; fixed-base operation services, which includes airfield facilities and ground support equipment; support services for command-and-control system integration; support services for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); and engineering, modelling, and simulation.
